More Information

For daily schedules, infants generally provide their own.  I believe that infants should be cared for according to their needs.  Thus, each infant is fed, loved, changed, held, put to nap, played with and entertained according to their need.  Infants are wonderful and challenging.

Some of our time is spent reading and playing song games.  Babies will do tummy time for as long as they are willing to tolerate it. We listen to lots of different kinds of music.  I will expose them to classical instrumental music as well as gospel and country.  I like a bit of everything.  Everything we do is recorded on a log page from the time they arrive until they leave; diaper changes, foods and quantity consumed, what we did for play, and naps from start to finish.  I do not do the same thing in the same order every day.  As I said, infants come with their own internal schedule and that is honored.

If there is something different that a parent wants to have me do, I shall attempt to do so; so long as it is healthy and safe.

I will take them outside only if the temps are reasonable and for 20 minutes or less at a time.  If it is too cold for me then it likely is for them also.  In beautiful warm weather we would likely be outside longer.  If it is too warm, the time will be short as well. I will try to take them out for walks also- weather permitting.
